The Student Service Design Challenge is a global design award that celebrates, encourages, and inspires the next generation of designers. It's open to current students and is initiated by Philips Experience Design, as part of its mission to involve young designers in finding people-centered and future-oriented services for people and the planet.
My team, consisting of my fellow exchange students Esther Betz, Martina Maci, and Margarida Sabino, was a finalist for the competition. Throughout the process (January to May 2023), we met monthly with design professionals (our coaches) working for companies in Europe and the United States. It was a great experience, and we loved engaging with the community of Glasgow in this project.
